About Malvai

Malvai aka DJ Gaurav Malvai stepped into the music circuit in 1996 under the expert supervision of DJ Sunny Sarid, one of the pioneers of the Indian DJ circuit. Malvai spent a memorable 5 years with the Sunny after which he decided to venture out on his own.

Malvai is a maverick, a defier of conventional ideas and norms and a downright fun guy at every gig! He has performed all over the world - sharing stage space with popular acts like Jennifer Lopez, Lionel Ritchie, Sting, Shakira and many more… He has been the first choice for the biggest wedding/ events for nearly two decades. His biggest USP is his versatility and ability to gauge the mood of the moment. His upcoming releases will showcase just that and his eclectic tastes that range from Chill Out, Indie, Nu Disco, Deep & Techno!

He started his own firm in partnership called the ‘Nightlife’. It provided sound, lights and music for weddings, private parties, corporate events and even kick started leading night-clubs in Delhi as guest DJs. ‘Nightlife’ reached astonishing heights in a matter of months, during which the team covered major events for some of the biggest names in, not just Delhi’s social circuit, but across India.

In 2006 Malvai setup his own sole proprietorship- Global Sound Management which is one of the top entertainment organisations, with in-house top of the line Sound, Light & Trussing gear, in India which provides end to end solutions for all kinds of events, weddings & concerts.

Performing all over the world, his work has taken him to countries such as Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, UK, Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and the Maldives. At Sanjay Hinduja’s wedding, DJ Gaurav Malvai opened for both Nicole Sherzinger and Jennifer Lopez, and provided all the music for each night after they had finished their sets. Alongside a large number of other extremely high-profile weddings, other career highlights for DJ Gaurav 'Malvai' include producing his first single, Lekin Mera Dil, originally by Nazia Hassan for a Times Music compilation CD (in 2005), and becoming the first DJ to produce music for video games (for Playware Studios Pvt. Ltd., a Singapore-based gaming company). He has been producing music for them since 2004. DJ Gaurav Malvai’s USP is his versatility and ability to gauge the mood of the moment.
